Symphonic Winds & Donka Angatscheva

Symphonic Winds, this extraordinary wind orchestra, composed of around 50 selected musicians, has thrilled over 65,000 spectators with approximately 130 concerts over its 36 years of activity.

Under the artistic direction of Alexander Veit, Symphonic Winds will perform this year together with the internationally acclaimed pianist Donka Angatscheva, of Austrian-Bulgarian origin, in the cities of Dobbiaco, Bolzano, and Merano.
In addition to Symphonic Winds, a percussion quintet will perform as soloists. Furthermore, three choirs will participate in the performance of two pieces: the Phos-Chor, conducted by Barbara Oss Emer; the Chorus of the Renon Choral Association, conducted by Sandra Auer; and the Men’s Choir of Nova Levante, conducted by Ivan Dejori. In total, approximately 130 performers will come together to create an extraordinary musical event.
The vocal soloist will be Karin Selva. This year’s concerts will also feature several world premieres performed by Symphonic Winds.
