Up Close with the Orchestra
Music Education Music workshop in German for children aged 8 to 12Description
Have you ever wondered how all the musicians of the Beethoven Orchester Bonn manage to play together so well? What does the conductor actually do? And did you know that there are even secret signals in the orchestra?
In this workshop we will discover many different instruments and understand the role each musician plays in the orchestra. And the best part: we will get an exclusive behind-the-scenes look at the rehearsals of the Beethoven Orchester Bonn, conducted by Dirk Kaftan, and experience up close how the magic of music is created!

Description
A special concert by the Gustav Mahler Music Weeks at the Reinhold Messner Haus
High in the mountains, at the Reinhold Messner Haus, music and word, thought and feeling come together: In chamber formation, the Beethoven Orchestra Bonn performs Beethoven's Pastoral – a narrative of the human encounter with nature, in all its shades. Joined by Mahler's intimate Adagietto from the Fifth Symphony, which captures the encounter of the human soul with its deepest and most tranquil essence in enchanting tones.
